The Acolyte Character Reportedly Revealed

While not too much is known about the upcoming live-action Star Wars series The Acolyte, a recent report from The Bespin Bulletin notes that Dafne Keen’s character in the show may have had her name leaked.

According to the report, a now-deleted listing on the talent agency network Independent Talent listed Keen (Logan) as playing a character named “Jecki” in the upcoming series. While that could have simply been a codename for her role, the fact that the listing has been deleted has led some to think that this might be her character’s real name in the show.

Of course, even with the character’s name potentially revealed, there is still little information to go on. Because The Acolyte is set in the High Republic era of Star Wars, not too much is known about any of the history or lore of the show, so fans will have to wait to find out more.

The series stars Amandla Stenberg (The Hate U Give), Lee Jung-jae (Squid Game), Dafne Keen (His Dark Materials), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna), Dean-Charles Chapman (1917), and Carrie-Anne Moss (The Matrix), who join previously announced cast members Manny Jacinto, Jodie Turner-Smith, and Charlie Barnett.

The Acolyte is described as a mystery-thriller that will take viewers into a galaxy of shadowy secrets and emerging dark-side powers that will be set within the final days of the High Republic era. Further details about its characters haven’t been revealed yet, but the project title references a Sith in the beginning stages of their training under an experienced Sith Lord.

The Disney+ series is being written and executive produced by Leslye Headland (Russian Doll), who will also be serving as the showrunner. In addition to The Acolyte, Lucasfilm is also currently developing a number of Star Wars projects, including The Mandalorian Season 3, AhsokaSkeleton Crew, and more.
